Yeah actually 1000 in the NFl is nothing. thats 62 yards a game. IF your a starter it is inexcusable to have less than 1000 yards unless you missed like 5 games

Has the talent but won't get the carries - considering the average career of an NFL RB is less then 4 years, good for him - hope he has a good financial advisor

who was the most impressive RB you saw at LSU last year?

for me it was Ware.

the times when Ware and Ford got extended looks, they both outplayed Ridley in the same games against the same defenses.

Ridley can have a big impact and not get close to 1,000.

His yardage per carry was teeny. Banging it in from the 2 yard line is not going to get you to 1,000.

I hope he does well. And I hope Bellichek makes sure he doesnt do some obnoxious self-centered celebration every time he takes it in from the 2.

He's better than BJGE, who got 1K last year.

If they give him the carries, Rid-man could easily get 1K.

the day Ridley gets over 1000 yards at 4.4 per carry in the NFL, ill retire from this board.

You've tried to downplay your Ridley hate in this thread, and that's fine. You're being intellectually dishonest. You said he wasn't our best back last year, you said he wouldn't go higher than the 6th round and if he did it would be "stupid" etc. etc. etc.

At this point, you're just taking a stand because you are too prideful to admit when you are plainly wrong.

what does that have to do with him being better than Green-Ellis?

you're being "intellectually dishonest" by saying that. You are too prideful with your Ridley love affair to make an honest assessment

Well, one went undrafted, the other went in the 3rd. Only about 2, 3 years apart. That should say enough about who is better than who, I'd imagine.

BJGE is nothing special. He's a solid player that goes hard and excels because he gets north/south and plays in a dynamic offense with a dynamic QB.

Nope, I've said repeatedly that Ridley will be a guy with a couple nice years in the league and that's it. He's not a superstar, but he's got enough skill to have a decent year or 3 and then be gone.

I did say that physically, he's comparable to Mark Ingram, and that I could see them both having very similar careers. I stand by that.

CJ Spiller had a big time preseason last year and was a regular season bust. People need to chill out.

You're being dishonest when you say, "All I ever said was he wasn't the best back on LSU last year and everyone just ran with it..."

That's not true. You pop up in every Ridley thread and kindly remind everyone that he's not as good as they think etc. etc. etc.

Ive said that too, but people get too caught up that i dont think he was that good in college, that he was over drafted, that he was 1st team all SEC(lol). His NFL play will speak for itself. Good short yardage back with good hands.

if he ever averages 4.4 ypc and goes over 1000 yards in the same season hell will have frozen over. There is absolutely no way in hell that happens. Is that me hating on him? No. Just reality. He isnt better than Green-Ellis simply because he was drafted in the 3rd when he would have lasted at least until the 5th. Thats stupid rationale.
