Skenes ranked 3rd in the country yesterday in Stuff+

the model filters out plate locations (thus characteristics of command which is measured in a separate metric) and primarily concerns itself with the following ballflight metrics:

Pitch Velocity
Vertical Break
Horizontal Break
Arm Angle
Release Extension

Still throwing 98 at 100 pitches is incredible.

And let’s not start thinking throwing 99 in college is common place. It’s not.

This information is gathered by stadiums with Trackman data.
