I think the fan base and national media gave grace during and after the La Tech game, presuming it was a hangover from beating a Top 5 team on the road.

Everyone presumed the offense was there, LSU played conservative, etc.

Then the same thing was seen against Florida. When called out, Kelly chastised the press and fan base about what they were seeing with their own eyes.

Beat a cupcake and show some offense (MVB actually had a higher QBR than Nuss in that game).

Then get out coached, out played and beaten worse than the score by Ole Miss. LSU is revealed to simply have a really bad offense.

This is now recognized by the national pundits, as evidenced by the ranking of 13, which honestly may be generous.

LSU has a good enough defense to win games if complimented by a good offense.

It’s been said you are the team you are on October 1st. LSU is a team with essentially no offense, poor line play, poor QB play, poor RB play and awful scheme. LSU has a Top 20 defense…probably not as good as we thought but not bad.

I’m not convinced that Ole Miss is good. They were down to Kentucky, should have lost to Arkansas, who has fired their coach.

I personally think LSU will be lucky to win 8 games this year.

Brian Kelly deserves to be ripped to pieces by the fan base and the press. He belongs in Congress, not on a sideline for LSU. He’s a politician, and at best, mid-tier SEC coach.

He’s a liar and does not belong in the South.

Karpetbaggger Kelly.

Kelly says that we are spoiled. That we should accept his mediocrity more readily.

Agree with all of this. He's an angry little man who's being paid an exorbitant amount of money to have answers, and he doesn't seem to have any. Instead, he chooses to blame everyone else. There is no excuse for the offense that was sent out on Saturday against an extremely mediocre Ole Miss defense. Changes need to be made.

I think this is an 8-4 or 7-5 team at this point. That's not acceptable given the resources at LSU, but Kelly isn't going anywhere for a few years at least in my opinion. I think they'll fire Sloan after the season.

I think it’s possible to be “good” but still flawed. We’re probably on the low end of “good” since we do have a disruptive defense. Any top 25 team could be considered “good” just not elite.

I’m not sure they are “good”. I think they could be with a scheme change, but don’t know that either.

But everybody was mad at Josh Pate when he stated the obvious.

This is politics all day, first it’s the Defense that ruined a Heisman winners opportunity at a National Championship. Then we revamp our Defense which is a 2 year process and make it elite. Now it’s our offense which is going to be a 2 year process. Blake Baker who should be our next Head Coach will be gone by then. Every 2 years it’s another problem with another lame arse excuse
