Yes. Our defense was the only reason we finished top 10 in 2018.
It's like all of you forgot that the 2017 and 2018 offenses were way worse than this defense.

This is the most ridiculous taKe In this thread by far. Never change..

You're under some ridiculous assumption that LSU cant win without Aranda...

Right after OM gains 600 yards.

There are other DCs out there.

I just said that in a much more long winded way but thank you for summarizing because the truth is the majority of these fire Aranda posters just have a beef with him because people, initially, liked him more than O when O was hired. Now that O is on top they are wanting to rip in to Aranda as some sort of vengeance for doubting Orgeron even though Orgeron made the decision to keep Aranda and pay him all that money. It's such a weird mental state to see play out on here.

Well that isn’t what I said but I expect misquotes and false statements from you. Oh and BTW anytime you feel like comparing Arandas career numbers to the DCs you’d have in mind, feel free.

O and Aranda are basically one with the defense. Those really good defenses Aranda had in the past had Os thumbprints on it just as this years defense does. If y’all think O doesn’t work on and help install each and every defensive game plan then I don’t know what to tell you. Lack of talent, lack of depth, and injuries are the main culprits this year. I can assure you that Aranda and O didn’t all of a sudden forget how to coach defense.

We have 6 starters noticeably injured, we had 3 rotation guys and a starter quit and we have another possible starter out for the year. Apply that to any LSU defense and see what the results would be. Hell apply it to the offense and see how well they’d do

Tell me who is available, proven at a top tier school, better coach, produce better defenses year in and year out, and will come for less pay than Aranda. I am genuinely curious who you think O will find that's leaps and bounds better if he fired Aranda after a national championship (or at least CFP) season.

Pure fantasy on your part. Aranda would be as popular as Brady I'd the defense was top 10.

The defense is barely top 50

It doesnt mean hes bad. It means hes not elite right now.

Morgan Scalley, Utah DC. Shut down Wash State's offense. Making 800K now.

#3 defense NCAA ranking

So because he has a down year that means he doesn't earn his paycheck? Did everyone forget that his defenses is the main thing that kept lsu ranked these past couple of years while the offense consistently shite the bed against most opponents with equal or better talent?

That’s one game against Missouri level talent.
