Lee had an opportunity to prove himself last year, and he didn't.

Jordan had an opportunity to prove himself this year, and he has??

Is that what your saying?

Wow.

Lee b/c he is at least willing to release the football instead of taking sacks on 3rd/4th down

It does seem JJ is playing, to not throw int's.
Rather than anything else. He's seen what happened to JL last year. But I like to see RS and JL play a series.

JLs breakout game WAS against auburn last year... Maybe he could show us something against a weaker auburn defense this year?
I agree somethings gotta change, and its either the players or the plays. I think an entirely new psyche is needed. Let's go with RS for something new and fresh and what the kid wants to do and be.

It look like the votes are about:

Lee 60%
Jefferson 35%
Sheperd 5%

Not that it matters. But I would say that the playing time should be split about this way. Lee should get a majority of the snaps at QB with Jefferson giving a change of pace. And Shep gets a handful of snaps.

Yeah the south will never change, they hate seeing shitty QB play and a offense ranked 109th when their team in the top 10.

Jefferson by a mile. He is a Sophmore who is gaining experience. He has yet to lose games for LSU. Can't say the same for J. Lee. He lost games for us last year for sure.

To each his on but comparing Lee's season last year to JJ is apples to oranges. JJ is working with a much more proficient defense, therefore hasn't been called on to throw nearly as often as Lee. For all his faults, Lee did lead LSU back to victory a couple of times last year and certainly was more in sync with the recievers than JJ has been thus far. On the other hand, Lee had better pass protection(though still underachieving)than JJ's been getting the last two games and a better running game. Bottom line, I don't see either having a big edge. JJ is a better runner, but JL is a better passer. I think all three qb's should be playing at this stage with the hot hand getting the most plays. Heck, the last two years we saw multiple QB play with results ranging from fantastic to o.k. I just don't see JJ's current play as even o.k. if left alone. Tweak the system and let each guy do what he does best as in past years and we could get o.k. and beyond. My 2 cents.

Well, fwiw, I'm fairly certain that most of the 60% who want Lee to start would prefer a 2-QB system with him and Shepard, but no Jefferson.

How about Jefferson and Lee, alternating series? Here's my plan: Lead the team to a TD/FG, you get to lead the team in the next series too. Stalled progress/Punt? Next series you sit on the bench. Interception? You sit out 2-3 consecutive series.

You can rotate Shepard in on 3rd and short plays if you like.

Jefferson and Lee should alternate until one establishes himself as the front-runner.

Huh? What is Spring practice for? Alternating series? That would be worse than the dreaded 10 second stare to the sideline to get the next crap play spewed by Crowton.

Jefferson is not even close to turning the ball over as much as Lee did, arguably with the same amount of game experience.

How about this? How about if you lead the team to a bowl win (in Atlanta, for example) after a difficult season (including squandered games against GA and AL), you're the QB until someone beats you out of it....or you start throwing interceptions for touchdowns.
