Outside of the First Quarter, Bama didn't outplay LSU.

Yards in the 1st quarter:

Bama = 114 yards
LSU = 38 yards

Yards in the 2nd - 4th quarters:

Bama = 185 yards
LSU = 184 yards

With OT included:

Bama = 180
LSU = 201

It simply took LSU on the road a quarter to settle in more than Bama "being the better team". I find it pathetic how often Bama fans and the media claim Bama dominated when they only were stronger in 1 quarter and in both instances weren't able to get past LSU's 27 yard line in that quarter.

If we play them in new orleans, we roll the tide by two touchdowns.

Buddy, I enjoy your posts, but honestly, you need to stop listening to the ravings of these idiots who are drunk on the bama kool-aid. They simply can't accept "9-6 in Tuscaloosa", and it's warped their minds.

They are grasping at straws.

Reality... LSU 9, Alabama 6.

It was a fair game, on their home field, they lost, and they can't handle it. Let them rant like loonies. You can't converse rationally with them.

We have nothing to prove. It was already proven...

9-6.

They looked prettier on some big plays. That's all they remember. Richardson was 84 yards on 23 carries. Yesterday he was 203 on 27. LOL

There is plenty of kool-aid on both sides. Kool-aid drinking Bama fans want to argue that Bama was really the better team (even though they lost). Kool-aid drinking LSU fans want to believe that there is a 2 TD difference when playing at home vs. playing away when its typically closer to 3 points. That's not a lot. In the Bama/LSU series, since 1980 the home team has won only 39.1% of the time. Could LSU win by 14 or more? Its possible, but its unlikely either team will win by a lot. You can take all the stats, the fact that Bama only punted twice, the overtime performances, and even the score of the previous game and toss them because if Bama and LSU square off, all that will really matter is what happens in the NC game. I know, it doesn't seem fair to me either but its more fair than giving a less deserving team a shot at the NC.

Those two points are nothing alike. One of them is just LSU bravado. I knew many a Bama fan IRL that told me they were going to steamroll LSU in Tuscaloosa. One guy bet me 100 bucks and even though I've kidded around with him asking me for my money, he hasn't paid me yet. You get a few bones broken by a bookie if you do that, but anyway...back to the point.

The other point is Bama denial even though the facts are right there in their face that they lost, fair and square. It isn't like LSU beat them on a tipped hail mary pass in the final seconds. They flat out lost the game. LSU defense shut down Bama in the 2nd half and put enough points up on the board to bring it to OT. I'm still pissed the score wasn't 14-6 in regulation, because all Shep has to do is walk into the end zone instead of falling down, and if Ware runs left instead of up the gut he strolls into the endzone too.

Bump for people claiming Bama outplayed us statistically on November 5th. They won the 1st quarter, which surprise surprise home teams should do.

The rest of the game was even statistically until OT where LSU dominated.

Only punted twice but should have 3 more times on missed FG Attempts.

They got outcoached and outplayed fair and square. They are basically playing the what-if game, well we can do that as well. It was sloppy football for both teams, our team made just as many mistakes that could've extended the score. Ford was an inch away from a TD. Shep had a clear shot to the endzone with no one covering him. Bama had a lot of questionable calls that refs didn't flag them for, same goes for us as well. They barely even got close to the end zone and most times they would get close to only get pushed out. They already feel like they should have won, making them overconfident and many people will pick them over LSU. Bring it on, this team will be even hungrier to show the country that Bama is only the 2nd best team in the country

Yeah totally dumb. Saban should have punted the ball. Miles completely tricked him, made him feel like he had to take risks, while Miles barely took any. Miles mindfricked saban.
