Why do they not do the bash any more? It was one of the unique things that made LSU special.

I never played against a Minor, but played against Warrick Dunn and Kevin Franklin before him. Kevin Franklin was a beast.

minor was a frosh when faulk was a junior

Faulk was class of 95

Minor was 97 with applewhite, Cecil Collins, Tommy banks, etc.

Ok, that's right. But the point still stands, who is comparing the two and whats the point? He would've been a good recruit to get.

The Bash was ruined by the BRPD and DWI checkpoints outside of the location.

Went with a few friends. We ate a ton of jambalaya and drank a bunch of beer. One baw got bitched at by his wife when we dropped him off because he couldn't walk and talk. We blamed Mockler and left.

Wasnt the police chief and Kip Holden feuding at the time and the chief went against Holden's orders and intentionally held the checkpoint?

My exact question, this would be AWESOME. I would easily travel down every year to attend this function.

I believe they did it at the casino for a few years bc 1045 espn radio was sponsored by the restaurants there and it had horrible turnout. Then the early signing day finished it off for good.

I have a story:
Historic season, still can’t fill the class. Meanwhile, Kirby is flipping players

Christmas morning..'58 found an autographed ball under the tree..everyone except Coach Dietzel. I took it to a bash where he was headlined..walked up and introduced myself, pulled out the ball and requested a signature. He took it and started to turn it over and over...stopped at Wendell Harris.."he was a great player"..then signed and that was it...Regards
