Signees who got drafted

Some recent years we have been fortunate and gotten future major league players to come to school. This was not one of those years. The draft likely decimated our incoming class. It happens. 2026 will be a challenge for Coach Johnson.

Hopefully Jay knows what he’s doing

I think we'll be fine. Probably not as good as this year, but a solid team. It happens when you win it all these days.
Brown, Little Pearson, Arrambide, Milam could all be 15+ HR guys. Curiel will be elite. Evans, Schmidt, Cowan would be a good rotation.

Yall don’t think he’s gone over losing every single high schooler to the draft atleast a couple times in the myriad of scenarios that he runs thru before everything in his life? Challenging, yes, but we have one of the best problem solvers in D1 baseball in our dugout

I think we are in better shape than the 24 team as far as returning production

Yeah, hard for me to comment on the transfers and HS guys. I haven't seen most of them play, but I'd imagine some will play significant roles as well.

We got Serna and Ricken, they will be major leaguers. William Patrick and Marcos Paz also have the potential to be big leaguers.

We definitely got lucky with a few last year. But there are still some legit dudes coming in with this freshman class. If my count is right we still got 7-8 guys in the top 150 PG rankings. Omar Serna I think is our highest ranked recruit at 41, that’s legit to make it to college.

Umm I’d probably say LSU may be just as good or better next year than this team. Tons of experienced arms coming back, and with Simpson and Dardar coming, the lineup won’t regress hardly at all. Might be better actually.

I could not disagree more. Between the returning nucleus of players and guys primed to take the next step, I see no reason why we should set our sights any lower than Omaha once again
Many of the guys who became cornerstones of this year’s team were likewise unknown commodities going into the season. We forget that because of what they all became. The 2026 team will have its fair share of those guys too
