I didn't even finish reading your response as I type this.
What I think is that NFL owners will collude to reward kids who toe the line in CFB.
The NFL can not afford to go the way of the NBA. I feel like NFL owners will decide to make decisions that benefit the whole over the individual. They don't want to pay undeveloped talent out of high school like the NBA does. It would diminish their product and their brand.
Rewarding kids that quit halfway through a season or sitting out games is not in their best interests. While Fournette is going to out measure Cook in many ways, I could see a situation where kids that finish their college careers like LF and McCaffery are greeted with backlash come draft day.
Maybe I'm crazy, naive, and a host of other adjectives, but something's got to give here. A line is going to be drawn in the sand. The NFL has lost cases before, but to the tune of a dollar. Like, one dollar. LOL

If we were talking about the difference of playing in one game, any game, you and others may have a point.
But most that are capable of seeing the big picture would agree that this is not the case.
And the dental reference is cute, but not relative here.

who cares, we won the game and got a good look at our backfield for next year, which, by the way, will be fine

LF7 reinjured the ankle 3 times this year and gave LSU his all for 3 seasons. He proved time after time he wanted to play hurt but I think he and the staff finally said wait lets let this ankle heal 100% and sit out the rest of the season. No underlying story in my opinion. The media will conjure up something to make a story and if LF7 was not in the Heisman talk and a normal back there would have been no story. A high ankle sprain can linger for months.
Hiring a agent and not making the trip with the team is another story and totally different argument
I do agree with your other post about Guice, different stiles but both equally effective and I will take Guice any day.
