If Fournette wanted his situation covered in a correct manner, he should have gone to a Tier 1 school. He didn't. This is what happens.
He will get the last laugh when he is a millionaire. No worries.

Fournette played injured earlier this year and never got healthy because of it. Fine to disagree with him signing with and agent before the bowl game, imo, but expecting him to play hurt is ridiculous. The guys on game day really don't want to acknowledge that that's what they're saying.

I'm talking about LF. His decision is correct. He's played through injury all year, only to get reinjured. Did you not watch Florida game? He was obviously injured and he then tweaked it even more.
If Fornette never got injured, it's a different conversation.

ESPN hates LSU right?
No, I just think they, along with other liberal media, create controversy where there is none by reporting half truths.

I'll say this and I'm done on this topic
It seems like many of y'all are arguing different points. Do I blame the kid for not playing if he's hurt??? Of course not!! You're damn right he shouldn't play and risk his future in a meaningless bowl game. I don't think any reasonable person disagrees.
My entire point here is for the love of god just wait to sign with an agent until after the game so you can still be part of your team. There was no reason to do that before the season was officially over. None.
Again, I have no problem with him not playing. I do, however, think signing with an agent before the season is over was incredibly selfish. I don't blame him for not playing, but be part of the damn team until the season is over

Jamal Adams should pull a Peppers and come up lame before the game. He is a potential higher pick than LF and has more money to lose.

If Jamal is hurt, then he shouldn't play either. Fournette should have sat against Florida. I blame coach O on that decision.

Pollack was a very established player, he made a choice to return to Georgia for his senior year and an injury ended his pro career. I think he is speaking from the heart on his opinion, imagine how his career could have been different had he come out after his junior year.

What's your point? You actually strengthen my argument. Jamal Adams is healthy and he's playing. LF has been injured and he's not.
LF sitting out isn't going to cause healthy players with high draft stock to sit out in the future. If they do it will hurt their stock. LF sitting out won't hurt his.

Jamal should fake an injury, his pro career is more important

Why do I feel racial undertone in this? Still?
Maybe because we are HYPER-sensitive to everything racial these days. Seems like we've gone backwards with regards to racial relations. The fact that we even reference the term "racial relations" in 2016 says all you need to know. I know wrong board.

So are you inferring that Fournette is faking his injury?
Posted on 12/31/16 at 8:45 am to tigerfan in bamaland
After 12 games a lot of players are hurt.... They have bumps, bruises, sprains, etc...
Adams is a potential top 10 pick, he needs to fake it like Pepper's did. No point in getting hurt like Butt did last night.

Pollack has a lot of identity points ties up in this conversation. I understand the passion. Doesn't excuse the lack of honesty re: the role injury is playing in this instance, though.

I'll get downvoted to oblivion, but I would have been OK with this after the loss to Auburn. Had he, White and LF7 sat the rest of the year. Nothing to play for at that point anymore. Save yourself and your health.

Exactly, college career isn't worth it when you have the potential the be a difference maker in the NFL. LSU had nothing to play for at that point, LSU is just a stepping grounds for most of these kids.

These media folks are the same ones who wanted LF to sit out the season. Hypocritical.

Lsu fans and administration owe him respect
The reason LF was our sole source of offensive production was on the Coaches not because LSU didn't have other play makers. Truth be told, the LF-centric offense made LSU even more predictable. Not only was LSU one dimensional, they were ONE PLAYER dimensional..ONE RUNNING BACK! LSU has PLENTY of offensive talent besides and more specifically along with LF. If Miles would have invested more time into his other WEAPONS, LF and his team mates could have ALL contributed to a spectacular offense and maybe even won a Championship of some kind. If LSU(Les Miles) owes anyone anything, it's the other players that were squandered during LF's time in BR! Les put all his eggs in one basket and rode LF to unemployment!
