So in your opinion, was Matt Mauck a better QB than Jamarcus?

He has average talent...haha

I'm sure this isn't the first time you've read this in a JR internet debate, but there's a lot more to being an elite QB than having the physical tools. Yes, JR had unbelievable physical metrics, but he never possessed the drive, the leadership or the mental aspects to be a good QB, let alone a great QB. He has a larger version of Rohan Davey without the heart, the leadership or the smarts of Rohan.

By all accounts, he was a great college QB. What he did in the pros doesn't matter, different game. Anyone arguing JR was an average QB in college clearly can be discounted.

I edited it. It was pretty obvious to anyone with common sense what I meant.

It works pretty well when you're dealing with people with common sense.

Great. You can't accept that JR was a mediocre QB talent who couldn't win the MNC that his predecessor and successor were able to, so now you're going to pretend to be an internet tough guy. Thanks for contributing to the discussion.

Why don't you have enough common sense to check your posts before you submit them? Is that asking too much? OK, so back to your idol, JR. Why do you think he was unable to bring home the hardware even though his career was bookended by QB's who won the MNC? How do you explain that 2006 Chick-fil-A beat down of Miami without JR? Maybe his incremental talent was insignificant to the team?

LSU's unprecedented luck in 2007.

Tee Martin was better than Peyton Manning

JR was an elite college QB, case closed. There have been more than one who didn't win a NC, which is an overrated stat for college QB's and speaks more about the talent around them.

Not sure JaMarcus will ever get that 2nd shot in the NFL. Having the reputation as being a lousy worker is one of the worst you can have in the NFL.

Who wants to throw money at a guy that seemed to show up, get his check then check out?

I hope the guy can wake up and get back to work, but I do not see it.

Prove me wrong JaMarcus.

I was never a Peyton Manning fan. Still, glad for him that he won a SB. Manning took too many risks, that was his undoing. Tee Martin was clearly a better fit for what Phil Fulmer was trying to accomplish. Before the insults start, remember that limiting risk is a big factor in CLM's game plan. Manning, for all his talents, has always tried to make too many plays. And yes, Peyton Manning is a better QB than Byron Painter.

John Elway never even played in a bowl game in college.
