He got dismissed from the team after having a total meltdown during their game against Akron. He basically quit during the game. He was throwing his gloves into the stands and trying to take his jersey off before some assistants got him to stop. He was eventually sent to the locker room, where he tweeted "frick Ohio State".

Is this guy eligible to play this season? Or is it next year but probably doesn’t lose eligibility for games played this season?

K'Vaughn Pope is not in the portal, but last week Dallas Gant did..... both are good players who have waited patiently for years as both were expected to start this year..... Ohio States explosion of playing true and redshirt freshmen is insane...but they have so much talent they have recruited over the last 2 years thaty those 2 just couldn't crack the rotation. Again, Gant is in the portal, Pope isn't.... Both are good.
