they would have beaten Texas

These types of statements are so funny. Why do people have to be so firm in this? They both played crap schedules (as did lots of teams that year), and one team went undefeated, the other did not. One team beat the #2 team on the road and a damn good ND team in a bowl. The other lost to Ole Miss.

It would have been a great game, no doubt. But it didn’t happen. When a team from a major conference goes undefeated, you tip your cap and acknowledge the great year.

LSU had a great year, but you can’t lose to Ole Miss in 1969 and have any legit claim over an undefeated Texas (or Penn State).

Have probably watched as much or more CFB than you.

Why don’t you offer some facts to back your case instead of just sophmorish name-calling?

Well why don't you go choke on a cock?

Is that better?

Still can’t offer any facts, just hate. Sad.

Tell me which channel you watched LSU’s ‘69 season on.

It is hard to find much video of the 69 season.

There are a few highlights available on YouTube. Overall it was an exciting season with a team the that rose above expectations and came very close to winning it all.
