The only time a team doesn't have a spring game/spring situationional practice is because of renovations. Every team does it because it is for the fans.

The team also enjoys playing in Tiger stadium in front of friends and family. They absolutely should keep doing a spring game. Its done in high school through college.

Am I dreaming or didn't they pretty much let Mett call his own plays in the spring game in 13? I seem to remember something like that.
It's mostly just for fans and to let players have some fun, especially walkons and guys that wont play much/ at all during the year

The only reservation I have ever had about the Spring Game or any scrimmage, is that its an double-edged sword in evaluations.
For every big play, on either offense or defense, it's an LSU player that allowed it to happen.

When I was 7, I went up to Notre Dame to visit my aunt who at note dame and she took me to a spring game where the team played "The Old Timers". No kidding, I think the alumni game would be cool

our gameday offense is already vanilla enough, it's like giving out free samples of cream of wheat.
