You could've just stopped there. So much wrong with this statement.

For over 2 years he has consistently started over a more talented passing QB, run an incompetent offense mired at the bottom of the conference rankings (whatever % of this might be attributable to him individually), and has consistently had a huge section of the fanbase that has supported his starting no matter what.

I don't think he has cause to complain about much of anything.

Concussed Andrew Hatch is better than Jordan Jefferson at any level of consciousness.

I admit I laughed when I read that.

nooo....noooo....noooo...
Stevan Ridley, Patrick Peterson, and Kelvin Sheppard carried LSU to an 11-2 record. With a good QB, LSU would have been 14-0.

Of course not. We want the best players to take the field with the best team. Jefferson has been the best player at quarterback the last couple of years. Pretty much every time he is pushed by someone else, he has gotten better. Having a new but experienced quarterback join the team will result in one of two things for Jordan. He will respond by getting better, and retain the starting job, or another quarterback will demonstrate that he is better and he will get the starting job.

Jefferson has alot of pride. He also has room for improvement. If he is truly pushed for the starting position he will respond the best way he can.

Really this is good for Jefferson and good for the team.

damn good post. everything is spot on.

Another stats nerd.

Ok here is a STAT for ya.

How many teams with better QB stats finished higher than LSU in the final SEC standings?

You want stats? I'll give you stats. 11-2.

Tulane had better QB stats. You want to be Tulane?

The ingorance of this fan base is astounding.

Duuuuuh may me i heerd dat JJ didt has him som gud stats sha.

the special teams and defense carried LSU to most of those wins.

JJ did nearly as much wrong as right, in most games.

He won the UTk game. nice run.

You're defending poor QB stats by indicating impressive team stats?

Replace Jefferson with any other starting QB in the SEC (minus Vandy), and we would have been SEC Champs.

I was disappointed in his overall play till Bama, but he did seem to step it up from that game on and finished on a roll with 4 TDs and a complete performace in the Cotton Bowl.

He just can't drift around any longer. Its time for him to lead the team on a regular basis and not just now and then.
