JJ is smart enough to realize that the rantardoes on this site do not represent the majority of LSU fans.

If he wins the starting job in the spring & fall then it's a non-issue, correct?

xman, you can't be serious. Did JJ 'carry' LSU to victory v. Tennessee? How about Florida? He really lit it up v. WV too, didn't he? Oh, and that MSU performance still has me all tingly.

Please tell me you saw how pathetic the offense was most of the season. Now ask yourself this: why are so many people saying he played a great game v. ATM when he only completed 11 of his 20 passes?

Answer: because he was so bad throughout the year that it SEEMED like a great game.

Give it up. If JJ starts and plays most of the season next year like he did in 2010, then LSU will not compete for either an SEC title or a BCS championship. He alone will cost us at least two games.

Concussed Andrew Hatch is better than Jordan Jefferson at any level of consciousness.

Of course not. We want the best players to take the field with the best team. Jefferson has been the best player at quarterback the last couple of years. Pretty much every time he is pushed by someone else, he has gotten better. Having a new but experienced quarterback join the team will result in one of two things for Jordan. He will respond by getting better, and retain the starting job, or another quarterback will demonstrate that he is better and he will get the starting job.

Jefferson has alot of pride. He also has room for improvement. If he is truly pushed for the starting position he will respond the best way he can.

Really this is good for Jefferson and good for the team.

I agree he's smart enough to know that. Also, he's got to be smart enough to know that if he doesn't improve from last year it will be nearly immpossible for him to start.

If he plays like he did from the Bama game on, none of the other QBs will play. Many seem to forget that he was 11-13 for 170 yards at one point against the Tide. Combine that performance with another 50-75 yards on the ground and LSU would have been unstoppable. He does need to be consistent though.

Agreed, But he's gotta be looking for some redemption from last season. The fans booing him during the WVU & UT game (especially the student section). The resurrection of Jefferson's LSU career could be awesome if it happens this season.

I'd love to see him go All-SEC his senior year and ride out of the Louisiana holding the crystal ball.

Carried! We talkin carried! C'mon Man!

He probably threw less than 5 reg. season touchdowns.....Ridley was a thousand yard rusher with little qb production. There's the guy who carried the team along with the defense.
