true, but what did he do throughout the year to prove otherwise?

think he could have ran away from the blitz?

I don't.

Nothing. But that's not the point. The point is that he wouldn't necessarily play the same way he did all year, and even if he did, we still could have won the game if the defense played the same way. All I'm trying to say is that the win is not solely a result of Jordan Jefferson. He helped, no doubt, but it's not just on his shoulders. Miles' teams have proven that they overacheive in bowl games.

No. But again, the blitz may not have been as strong with JL under center. You can't say the defenses would have been the same if he starts instead of JJ.

What team will blitz him? Like you've been hammering on Lee, they will look for the pick first.

Anybody who advocates for Lee to get the start this season has to be out of their frickin' mind!

Time to put away the racist biasness and accept JJ as the starter. He earned it against Georgia Tech, and the kid has escape speed when under pressure.

Geaux, most aren't arguing that JL will be the starter, but that he COULD be the starter. As much as the Ranters want it, we aren't coaches at LSU. They may decide that JL is the better QB. One game last year won't decide our starting QB.

LINK

ETA: I'm so sick of the racist comments. This isn't about race. The fight for the starting QB job is based on merit. JJ may have an advantage based on past performance, but that's not to say that JL can't overtake him. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with a logical argument.

It's hopeless. Most of those dumbfricks can't even comprehend what they read, much less listen to logic.

It may be wise to allow Lee to start the opener on the road at Husky Stadium and see what happens. If the kid throws a pick-6, he gets benched and does not reappear until later in the game against Lafayette at home. It is such a gamble with this kid, and I think his arm strength is pretty much a non-factor compared to his tendency to choke behind center.

There is no excuse for JL to throw that many INTs for TDs like he did. I realize he was a freshman QB, but so was Jevon Sneed at Ole Miss...

True. But can't you see that the ONLY person getting bashed in these threads is white?

You deduction and speculation is flawed. JJ will be our starter, Lee our back-up, Shep 3ed string and a Wild Tiger and unique formation man, and Garrett will redshirt.

Thank you. Of course there are at least 1,000 mindless speculators on this board who would disagree with you.

if you haven't questioned many of the decisions that les miles has made in his tenure, you are either:

A. Brain dead
B. a Lemming

Well I didn't say it was the ONLY reason. I could have speculated on 5 different reasons, but I would have jacked the thread. We are talking QB's here.

I just can't see where passing for 143 yards, against Ga tech should make him the starter. We will have more than that, running out of bounds will not do it either. protecting the ball is good, but you have to score too.

Seriously....he had a couple months to learn the playbook. You're not going to put up huge numbers running the same plays over and over. All he had to do was not screw up, something Lee couldn't handle.
