When you have a lineup that has been as sound as this one the past two games, I don’t think you change it

1) this lineup has played awesome
2) Dugas didn’t play well from the field when he played

= don’t change.

How many runs has Broussard scored this weekend? I’m not sure but to be honest I couldn’t care less if he gets a hit if he gets on base

We have score 11 runs in 2 games, we have done similarly offensively in other series. The difference is now our pitching is getting healthy

I'd rather Dugas start as well.

Broussard is definitely going to start on senior day.

He also hit a line drive missile right at the shortstop that would have scored two tonight. You've got to look a little deeper than simply hits or outs. A lot of hits in baseball are lucky. A lot of outs are unlucky. Broussard is making contact every at bat right now, and most of it is solid contact. Dugas had his opportunity. He was struggling.

I don’t understand how he didn’t start the last 2. When he came back from surgery he was an immediate spark.

Again, Why are you bitching? We’ve won 4 straight and have been putting together a really good string of games this week. Why change? Also, quit looking at stats. He’s played sound defense at 2nd, and has put barrels on balls. He has more QAB’s than what shows on the stat line. When we’re winning when we haven’t been, why change?

Do you understand the differemce between bitching and discussing a topic? There is no bitching going on.
And to tell a baseball guy to quit looking at stats may be one of the most ironic things to post.
I dont see his defense as some spectacular thing that cant be replaced. Dugas is pretty good defensively too

Who cares what you think? You’re not the coach.

By that rationale, why have a message board?

How many errors has Broussard made in the last four games? Wasn't he involved in some of those inning ending double plays? Those great pitching performances have been aided by excellent play by the infield.
I agree we should be able to discuss. But there has been so much criticism of the team and PM this year sometimes its difficult to accept "discussion" after the team plays well.
Without all the injuries, this team, coached by PM, would be a threat to go all the way. I hope injuries are behind us and we can show how good this team is.

Dugas is an interesting player to discuss. He was flat out struggling and looked like a player that coaches started getting data on. With that said, Broussard has been barreling up pitches, but doesn’t have a lot to show for it. Here are my questions:
How has Dugas responded to his struggles at the plate? What does he bring from experience and leadership to this team it sorely lacks? Do his teammates look at him as an automatic out?

Reid has struggled mightily. Do you think he is a better option than Willis? This is a game you really want to avoid. When something seems to be working why change it?

As someone said earlier, it's Senior Day. No way should you start Dugas over Broussard.

The main thing I am wondering is if coach starts Brock over Saul. I do not think, though could be wrong, Saul has caught all three games in a series yet.

Im not definitively saying he will be better, but id like to he how he would respond.

Reid is different, his obp is high enough to offset his lack of hitting
