He wasn't a fit for LSU's offense. It was obvious almost from the start. LSU doesn't utilize multi purpose type players. He should not have come to LSU or he should have transferred almost right away.

If he lasts one season in the nfl it won't be because he is playing quarterback dude. So no that wouldn't automatically make him better than JJ or JL.
