Our offense, or lack thereof, is the reason many people think Shep was a bust. His was productive with carries, direct snaps as a freshman, etc. The scheme and coaches did not utilize him properly.

I am not a defender of miles at all and would normally be considered negative. But, Shep has everyone fooled and is exploiting it. He just wasn't that good. No way he doesn't play QB over Jefferson or Lee if he could remotely pass the ball. Rumor is that he couldn't at all.

The guy shouldn't be saying things like this.

We KNOW the two headed monster of JJ and JL set back offensive football for ten years.

Explain how he possibly could have been any worse than JJ, a shitty pocket passer who was athletic but refused to utilize his athleticism?

We have not remotely been lacking a running game. He was not needed at RB.

You still believe these "rumors" on the offensive side of the ball after watching our putrid offense the last 5 years?

You do not think anyone is worse than JJ or Lee at QB? Do you think Terrence Magee should be our QB?

Just because JJ and Lee were not great =/= Shep is amazing.

You're fricking retarded if Miles chose to start JJ and JL over RS if RS was half as decent as your making him out to be.

RS was like below 50% completion in high school if I remember correctly. He was just a freak athlete. Turned out he couldnt pass, or catch/run routes. He could run in open field when no one touched him, and he was good at it.

I said nothing about him being a running back. I referenced him getting the ball in space, in which he was super effective, probably to the tune of a 7 ypc avg over his career including multiple break away runs. Or get him the ball via jailbreak screens, etc.

Or all the years of JJ running miserable read option and option- that could of been Shep's package with an occasional throw to keep the D honest. But that's far too creative for LSU's offensive scheme.

I never said Shep was a great QB. No one knows.

The reason we don't know is because he never played QB here.

We do know that our QB play was horrendous during his time at LSU. We also know, at the very least, Shep would have been deadly running the zone read. In my opinion, if we're playing quarterbacks who can't pass, why not at least play a QB who's willing to use his athleticism.

Even if he were a shitty passer, I ask what would be the difference between him and the JJ/JL combo?

He had a higher per carry average than any current RB.

He just wasn't utilized enough. People blame his lack of productivity on him, and they absolute idiots.

His coaching staff took away his runs and tried to make him a WR. He wasn't ever going to be a WR.

For the love of god...

The guy couldn't earn a spot on the field during four years of piss poor offensive performance.

He'd have started all four years if he'd have been half as good at football as he is at Twitter,

He's a high school drama queen. Let it go.
