After reading this, how could you not?

"The downfall can't go on forever," said Hickey, who added eight points for LSU with six assists and four steals. "We're going to keep climbing. We're going to fill up the P-Mac again and give the fans what they want — basketball."

If I lived in B.R. I would try to make at least the best matchups in BB. With all of this success we have had in football and baseball, our basketball team needs support too.

I will certainly be at some games this year. This team is exciting and I think we are certainly back.

Had they been giving this, the stands would have been filled.

I am a pro-Johnson, pro-BBall Team guy.

But, I recognize that the team needed to play better to achieve better crowds. It is pretty simple.

Winning will bring the fans. Last night was a huge step in the right direction. I love that attitude by Hickey.

Feeling really positive about the future of LSU basketball!!

Btw: I can barely talk today after screaming so much at the game last night! Atmosphere was electric.

the way the team has performed the last two years you can't really blame the fans. maybe with this win they have earned the trust of the fans again.

no excuse to not see big crowds against UVA and OM in a few weeks.

I know they haven't played well the last 2 years, but I'm talking about now. They have put up some wins and are playing hard, time to bring back the PMAC.

Awesome game last night. It was as loud as it's been in years at times. Good times.

Trent knows it and has said it. If they want the fan support, they need to win games like that. They had a very rough start to the year. They still have a somewhat strange offensive system.

In that it appears that there's not much structure at all.

But we locked down on Defense after that initial bad start. We also corrected the rebounding problems we had at first.

If we can hit the outside shots like that, we will be a good team this year in conference.

Attendance at womens' diving events is abysmal. Shame on us for that too.

I agree, people that haven't attended LSU shouldn't be allowed to buy tickets, make donations, or buy appereal.

no one said that but you can tell when someone is just a bandwagon bitch when they insinuate "hahaha no one cares about LSU basketball"... comparing them to the women's swim team? Says a lot about this person's fandom.

eta: I know many fans who aren't alums and are bigger fans than those who are.

Basically there are about 1000 basketball fans and bunch of others who will jump on a bandwagon once it is rolling

I agree. I love this team's attitude - especially Hickey. I really wish we could pack the PMAC again and give this team a real atmosphere. They thought last night was a good crowd...they have no clue.

I understand getting pissed about only supporting the "popular" or "winning" LSU team. It's all cool!

While I want the basketbal team to do well,

I cannot stand the sport of basketball. I was really hoping the NBA would lock out for the whole year so I wouldn't have to watch "highlights" on ESPN.

After football season I don't even really follow the basketball team, I start looking towards baseball.

Nope. Raised in BR. Went to LSU. Love football only. The rest, who cares.
