Would Tiger Woods affair have been reported if he were a world class nuclear physicist?
It's called being in the public eye, and when you are in the public eye you have to be more careful.
I really do hate people who blame the media for shite like this. If Blue hadn't said it, it wouldn't be an issue. And don't say Reveille isn't media, they are, but they are small time mostly. I bet people wouldn't be bitching if this ran in the Advocate or on WAFB/WBRZ

What is worse? Fail a politically correct test or a drug test?
Student athletes should never answer hypothetical questions. Those types of questions are usually designed as gotcha questions.

Oh don't give me that "he doesn't get paid" crap. College Athletes are basically celebrities at big name schools whether you think they are or not... Guarantee you anyone in Baton Rouge (even outside the LSU community) will know names like Zach Mettenberger, Tyrann Mathieu, and Alfred Blue. They are "famous" in this city, and therefore normal stuff done by them is news when it wouldn't be for others.

He's not different, and probably shares the same views as the majority of people his age. Not that that makes it right.

Is it really too much to ask that he not say all gay men are sissies who couldn't play football because they are sissies. He has a right to say whatever he wants..... but that doesn't protect him from people thinking that was ignorant.
Just say you agree with him that gay men are sissies and stop hiding behind the protection of his opinion defense. Noone is calling for his arrest.
