I've read that it's a 10 panel drug test. Urine.

If that's true, then I admit my experience is completely irrelevant.

But I still don't care if he was only on it to study, party or pitch.

Ah. I knew it involved heavy use but didn't know if the heavy use had to extend to certain time frame

It's definitely taken for an advantage in sports.

Athletes are taking adderall because they feel like it gives them an edge.

It's amphetamine.

It's "speed".

Chronic use meaning over a long period of time. Your liver gets used to processing the chemical and breaking it down therefore the molecules stay in your system long than say someone that took 60mg in one night. It'll be eliminated faster than someone who takes 30mg 3 times a day for a year.

It seems to me that most of the people telling everyone what adderall does/doesn't do are academics who don't actually take the drug. I, personally, find that hilarious. Most of the people who do take it seem to be on the opposite side of the fence because they actually know what it does from experience.

You're right. I've never done heroin or crack so I don't have any idea what those do to a person either.

Fwiw, I had no idea about adderall's effect on someone that doesn't need it until one of my best friends ,who's a fricking doctor, told me about it. Then I did some reading of my own and it's plenty easy to see why it's on a banned substance list. Some of you people need a 7 second delay button before hitting the submit button.

No dumb arse, I don't need to do a drug to understand it's effects.

I guess so. Second hand information from a doctor and multiple articles about it. Not to mention the 2 biggest sport leagues in the world banned it for a reason. But I'm just making shite up.

eta: I think it's time for some of you to take your daily dose.

You're assuming he takes it everyday. He most likely doesn't, because without a prescription he'd have to pay cash for someone else's. Adderal is coveted during finals week. He probably used it for finals. NBD

addderall effects people who need it differently than it effects those who do not but take it anyway so the people giving their personal experience actually need it for a disorder not performance enhancing

i have a father that's a doctor, but that doesn't mean i'm going to come on the internet and act like repeating something i heard from him one time has any sort of empirical value. it's not like you did a case study on the effects of amphetamines and cited doctors as sources in your study.

i know exactly what point you think you're making. you just don't know what you're talking about. but i'm sure you've seen plenty of things on the internet and heard through word of mouth about the topic.

What point do YOU think I'm trying to make? You have so much sand in your vag over this man. What's your beef? Is it time to take your addy?

eta: You're all up in that other thread stating how you needed adderall for almost 10 years or so right? It didn't have the same effect on you BECAUSE YOU NEEDED IT. How is it that hard to understand?

sorry if you think the first part is funny because I was mocking the same thing you did in your prior post. just because a doctor told you something one time doesn't mean your comment is persuasive. everyone knows people in advanced fields, such as medicine, that tell them things in passing. repeating them and acting like it gives you any sort of credibility on a topic is laughable.

quote:

ok, now it's time for ad hominem responses. those are even more persuasive, but i guess i'll still humor you.

the point is, there are so many people in this thread and countless others on the same topic that seem to think a variety of ridiculous things, many untrue entirely and many attributing outlying effects on some people as the norm for all people. Another point being, there are too many people, like yourself, acting like you know the ins and outs of a drug without any real experience using the drug or any advanced education concerning the drug. Yes, we all know meth is a bad drug and people tweek out and act crazy while on it, but I'm not going to pretend like I know all the effects the drug has on most users because I saw a "meth kills" poster in a doctor's office and my friend in med school school told me "insert random effect."

Like any drug, yes adderall can be abused, but people acting like it's a magical pill that makes you awesome at sports is stupid. I see you also ignored the fact about caffeine being a banned substance as well (it is). Adderall is not a banned substance simply because it is a huge performance enhancer. It's a banned substance because it's illegal for anyone to possess it without a prescription, just as are plenty of other drugs on the banned substances list.
