This dude has more lives than jason from friday the 13th from a coaching standpoint . I expect about the same defense he put together at A&M . Will rank near the bottom of the SEC by end of season.

so explain his success at LSU...other than 3rd and Chavis which was more of a Tennessee nightmare.

He wasn't that great when he was here outside of 2011.

Dude got gashed quite a bit and I'll never forget that Clemson game. Much less Notre Dame.

He was good overall while here, but his best days are behind him. Also, it helped that he had elite talent.

I agree with this. A&M had more talent than Arkansas.

The issue at A&M I think was the style of play of the offense and the lack of discipline instilled by the head coach.

With Arkansas, he might just be asked to slow teams down, not stop them. They're going to be fassssst paced.

The Hog defense will be worse than the A&M ones he trotted out there. He had more talent in College Station to work with.
The Morris uptempo offense will not bode well for his style defense. At this point, Chavis would take any SEC job to stay on that payroll. Coordinators are well paid now.

He will end up an analyst back in Knoxville pretty soon too.

I would argue without LSU's DB coaches, Chavis wouldve been very average at LSU.

And here the morons come
Again with stupid shite like you. Our offense that Clemson game had 7 three and outs. Chavis saved miles arse numerous times and you know it. You know how miles played. You heard crowton confirm it. The defense didn’t lose those Bama games either. They played well all game. You won’t stop great teams forever especially with stupid decisions: see miles not letting Met throw to ice game late in 2012 or lack of offense in 2014.

But yeah defenses should stay fresh all game right? And always bail out offense? Gtfo.

Funny how you can only cite 2 games over 6 seasons.

I’ll never understand the obsession with this guy. Les miles made peace with him, LSU currently has a better DC, and the lawsuits been settled.

It’s over. Go home.

Only a bigger nightmare at Tennessee because he was there longer.

Probably right about Arkie's defense, but those guys on that show are there to talk up whoever that show is about, so I wouldn't get my panties in a wad over anything they say.

I didn't want to bring up Towson or Arkansas 2013 (2014 wasn't much better. they drove up and down all game despite only putting up 17 points)

in 2010 pretty sure we ranked in the 50s in rush defense.

I can name quite a few games Chavis absolutely shite the bed in or just came out lazy but I don't want to be petty.
