I'm sure Archie Manning and Condoleeza Rice are big LSU fans

Kendall Rogers
There will be at least one new NCAA Regional host in the latest projections, which will be out later today … some tough decisions indeed.

Here were his hosts last time:
UVA/Houston
Ore St/CP
UF/Ok St.
FSU/Scar
Indiana/UW
ULL/TCU
Mia/Vandy
OM/Rice

He's coming out with projections today, Friday and Sunday. should be interesting to see what he thinks. I respect his opinion over just about anyone in the media.

He's dropping one of the three:

UW
Rice
Houston

I can't see him making any other changes.

Yes same here..he really knows his stuff.

Someone asked him if CP and UW could both be national seeds and he said very slim. I would bet he leaves UW in the host spot though.

Will probably flip Houston for Louisville.

The fact that anyone would even consider Cal Poly as a national seed is laughable.

Nowhere else to really put this, nor is it news. But here are some operating expenses of different sports for the 2013 fiscal year.

Most Profitable - Net Revenue
1. Men's Football - 3,043,000
2. Men's Basketball - 340,000
no other Collegiate sports were profitable

Most Detrimental Sports Financially - Net Loss
1. Women's Basketball - 1,482,000
2. Women's Equestrian - 1,024,000
3. Men's Baseball - 733,000
4. Women's Rowing - 718,000
5. Women's Ice Hockey - 714,000
6. Women's Gymnastics - 713,000

From Aaron Fitts' chat (currently taking place)...

Question:
quote:

Despite the dead weight of several games against +200 RPIs, LSU has a Top 16 RPI. They finished 3rd in the SEC and likely would have finished 2nd had they not lost 2 winnable home games to travel/weather. They have 40 wins. How is that not a clear hosting resume?

Fitts' response:
quote:

I think it is might very well be a hosting resume. The only reasons it's not a slam dunk are the 4-8 record vs. the top 25 in the RPI and the poor nonconference schedule. I'm still working on crunching all the numbers, but I suspect I'll have LSU as a host in tomorrow morning's Stock Report.

Ok someone has taken control of his brain

quote:

Chris (Tulsa, Ok): Aaron, How do you feel about LSU after their bats coming alive last week? Do you believe their pitching (after Nola) can handle the SEC tournament and have a chance at receiving a National seed? Thanks

Aaron Fitt: LSU feels awfully dangerous right now -- a team that is peaking at the right time, I think. My early-season questions about the rotation after Nola have abated; I like what I've seen on TV from Poche' and Bouman. The offense has really found its stride, and the overall team athleticism is a real difference-maker.
