I mean we don't even have to play a great team. Just a series against a team with an RPI of like 130 instead of one with an RPI of 250.

Well PM use to be at northern schools so he knows how shite it is to play up there. He likes to offer 3 different teams opportunities to play in a warmer climate. They play like 5/6 games those weekend at the Box so those guys can get some games in. It's a kind gesture and we get to experience a regional type environment.

By regional, you mean a #1 seed from the SEC vs. a #4 seed from the SWAC.

I mean having games before your game and possibly having games moved back. Having multiple teams in 1 stadium in 1 weekend. Those types of things. I'd love for it to be good Northern teams coming in, but at this point I see why CPM does it.

Well looks we just have 3 regular weekend series and the Houston tournament next year.

no this game probably gets us a host and the team we play will be in a similar situation as us. Vandy/ole miss will be on their 4th starter if we play Arkansas they will be on who knows
we can't afford to lose this game losing to Arkansas would kill our hosts chances. Even if we beat Vandy again, a loss vs Arkansas wouldn't help.

Lock up the win tomorrow, lock up the regional host. Win tomorrow and at worst we go 2-1 on the week. That is enough to push us over the edge. Besides, I'd like to see Bouman pitch against a solid hitting lineup.

eta: i think Bouman against Vandy's 4 is pretty even. I have a feeling they'll hit him. But Nola against Vandy's 4 is a decided advantage.

it may work out better but don't take chances on today's game. If we win today we go from having to go to laffy for a regional to hosting a regional. Don't risk this game just so we can get to the championship when we don't need to. Plus Our offense would get us to the championship not our pitching.
