SEC Tournament In Hoover Question for attendees

For the first time in 4 years my RV group has been shut out of the tournament. In the past, RV park slots could be sold by those individuals that were not planning to attend and they could keep there slot for the next year. They changed the rules this year where you can not sell your slot and it you do not show up you lost your slot for good. And they gave it to the next person on a long waiting list.
My question is can anyone give me a feel for how many Tennessee RV groups are there. They never had a presence before and I’m courious.

Did you try to find spots at the Oak Mountain campground? They have power and water for sure.

We decided not to go this year because we wanted to stay near the stadium. But we will consider it next year if we do not get a call off the waiting list.

I am currently at Oak Mountain State Park right now as I type this with a reservation that is good through this Sunday. My question is if the tournament goes past Sunday with all of the rain delays and folks have left the Hoover Met Campground because their team has been eliminated is there any way to purchase a vacant RV spot at the Hoover Met RV park at that point.

In the past, you could move to a vacant spot for free. We were in the overflow area which is dry camping two years ago and got the approval from the front office to move to a vacant slot on Thursday. Check with the front office.

We had attended the past couple years and stayed at the met rv park. Bought slot from someone who had an extra slot. They sold their motorhome and had to turn their two slots in to be sold to the next person on the long list. Sent several emails and called several times to seek more information but never got a reply or and call back from them. Disappointing.

Will not happen. NCAA Selections will be made Monday.

My group had two slots from Mississippi State fans we could of purchased but the Met Rv park killed the deal. We had always bought slots from fans that were not going to attend in the past 4 years. They told the State fans if they do not show they will lose there slot for good and it would be given to a person on the waiting list.

Disappointed that none of my fellow Tiger RVers couldn’t answer my question:
