Comcast is in the top 2 for biggest cable providers in the country. If the SEC network cant get on with them, the SEC network are the ones that are screwed. It will happen

No. People will just drop Comcast for a provider who offers the network.
Texas A&M vs. South Carolina is the opening game on the SEC network. Comcast will get bombarded with phone calls from pissed off fans if they can't watch the game.
SECN is in the driver's seat here. They are far from "screwed."

Not. SEC Network is a sub-property of ESPN which is a Disney company along with the ABC Network. Disney will never blink over what Comcast may or may not do, they have considerable leverage with all the various Disney-owned content. Additionally, there are some new entertainment options giving consumers more, never before seen, options coming soon that Comcast is more worried about.

As someone who has been keeping up with this situation for about a year now, it is clear to me that you haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about.

$1.30/month subscriber fee in the 11 SEC state footprint. Meaning that is what Dish/Uverse are paying per costumer to air the channel.

The SECN doesn't need West Virginia, or Nevada. The 14 rabid fan-bases will be enough to keep it in business. Comcast is always the last to come aboard, They will be the one with pissed customers. They will leave Comcast and get Dish, or Uverse, Fact.

I can only speak for DISH and it's being reported to be automatically included in their "Top 120“ (middle tier) package and above for no additional charge.

DirecTV's Disney/ESPN Contract expires in 2015. Dish's expired this year 2014. Dish has signed a new contract w/ Disney/ESPN to include the SEC Network and the WATCHESPN app access.
Notice DirecTV subscribers still do not have access to WATCHESPN.
I am predicting DIRECTV will not have the SEC Network until 2015 in which they will also add WATCHESPN as a negotiated package w/ all the ESPN channels and Disney Channels.
I agree though ESPN can pretty much charge what they want and say and oh we have these 10 Disney channels you have to take. LOL!

SEC Network is going to be successful. You clearly don't understand the way these contractual negotiations are done. The cable companies or other providers simply do not have the option for ala carte channel selection. The primary reason Dish was first to the table is that their existing Disney group's contracts were being negotiated for the last year & happened to come to fruition at a convenient time for the SEC Network which goes live August 14th.

Dish and Att Uverse are the only big providers to sign on with the network so far
I was watching ESPN several weeks ago. When they mentioned the SECN, a banner ran at the bottom of the screen stating the above info.
I have heard no official updates since then.

Should we all have a day in which we all, simultaneously call Direct and demand they carry the channel? I mean just blow up their phone lines.

I know all our LSU fans will be happy to learn that ESPN announced today that Dish will debut the Longhorn Network on May 28 for us to enjoy until August 14th & the SEC Network kickoff. I guess a little fluff comes with the full-meal-deal.

Is AT&T going to buy DirecTV?
Since ATT U-Verse is already contracted to carry SECN, DirecTV may wait to see what happens before signing on with SECN.

never saw it mentioned. Can the SECN force LSU to play early in the day ( not nighttime)?
