The SEC has earned the right to get the benefit of the doubt based on recent history. But yes, it appears that the SEC might not have been as strong as we originally thought this year. Both statements can be true.

Looking at the bracket there’s a small chance we see an all SEC final again. There’s been 10 different SEC teams in the last 5 NCs.
If UNC beats Oklahoma today then Auburn will be the only SEC team left on that side of the bracket that could make the CWS final. If they did make it though we could still see the trend continue of 12 different SEC teams in the last 6 championships if Auburn and Arkansas make it through
ETA off by a year… last 4 NCs have had 8 different SEC teams, not last 5. This year could still be #5 though

SEC will still most likely win the CWS

I only care about LSU.
I don’t care about the SEC.
This is not the 2000’s anymore. My SEC pride died after 21-0.

I'm not saying that the SEC isn't good or that they won't in another national championship, but 13 SEC teams made the tournament and 7 of them (minimum pending today's games) won't even make it out of a regional. That's not great.

Vandy and UGA are huge disappointments losing home regionals, but Bama, UF, OU and State are all supposed to lose on the road. I’m surprised State and OU have given as much of a battle as they have, especially OU beating UNC last night.
Us, UT and Ole Miss losing and having to go to a final game isn’t a great look either, but teams across the sport have been inconsistent all season. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but there are 6 Game 7s with 3 including Top 8 seeds, today for a reason.

I've noticed. That's my point. I'm just saying that maybe the SEC wasn't as dominant as we thought this year. There are 5 host teams that have been eliminated so far and 3 of those 5 are SEC teams. Two of them being the #1 and #2 overall seeds.
