Per Kendall:

quote:

SOURCES: Beginning in 2025 with the addition of Texas and OU, the @SEC will move to a regular season schedule that will include two series each year against permanent opponents and eight series against rotating opponents for 30 games. The #SEC also will go to a single division.

Why A&M? We have better baseball history with Ole Miss and Arkansas than A&M. I can agree on MSU.

Would be interesting to see who Arkansas got. They could draw LSU and Texas which has 12 combined championships… currently.

Honestly, baseball doesn’t need permanent opponents.

Texas will have A&M and OU.

OU will have Texas and Mizzou.

Tenn will have Arky and Vandy.

Some of them are pretty obvious.

Just a guess. Birmingham seems to think LSU and A&M are big rivals.

A&M: Texas, LSU
Texas: A&M, OU
OU: Texas, Missouri
Missouri: OU, Arkansas
Arkansas: Missouri, Tennessee
Tennessee: Arkansas, Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt: Tennessee, Kentucky
Kentucky: Vanderbilt, South Carolina
South Carolina: Kentucky, Florida
Auburn: Georgia, Alabama
Georgia: Auburn, Florida
Florida: Georgia, South Carolina
Ole Miss: Miss State, Alabama
Alabama: Ole Miss, Auburn
Miss State: Ole Miss, LSU
LSU: Miss State, A&M

What’s obvious about Tenn and Arkansas? Outside of recency bias because Vitello was a former coach under DVH there isn’t much “obvious” there.

I don’t see Arkansas not having LSU and Texas/A&M.. maybe Missouri. LSU vs Arkansas is always one of the hardest games to get tickets for every year.

Texas and State would be my top 2 options. In terms of history and ratings.

Two home/away permanent series opponent’s will likely be geographically biased. LSU would likely have two of these: Miss State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Arkansas. Texas would not be in the running as they would likely have Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Oklahoma would have Texas and Arkansas. IMHO.

I don't like being paired up with A&M because I don't like the SEC using us to legitimize letting those collie frickers into the conference. frick them and their whole university, their gay funeral home attendant basketball coach, their legitimate cuck of a football coach, their piece of shite baseball coach and his oaf of a recruiting coordinator.
