I agree that they talk too much about non baseball stuff. As for having a lot of time to fill, baseball has more minutia to talk about related to the sport than any of the other sports. For some strange reason they consistently choose not to.

Those guys are announcing games for like 7 straight hours. They have to fill time with something. You probably get upset when we play an away game and the other team's announcers are biased don't you?
