Yeah, because he is a great defensive minded coach. Oh wait.
Oh okay, because he has won so many college playoff games.
Lincoln Riley has heretofore been very lucky because he has always coached in the Big 12 where he could run up the score on his second-rate Big 12 competition to pad his QB's numbers so they could win the Heisman.
Had Riley been in the SEC instead, not only would there be no Heisman winners but he would be an average coach at best.

OU has no natural recruiting base. Relies heavily on Dallas, KC, SOCAL, etc...
Combine Louisiana with East Texas and Florida, LSU is a lot easier job.

Oklahoma has plenty of HS talent and they recruit the entire state of Texas, not just Dallas.

OU is a top 5 job, his dream job...he is an icon there, he is successful, his family is happy, his 2021 salary is about $8M...he will not leave for Baton Rouge, LA and would be a fool for considering such.
