Intetesting. His high school DE film was nasty, probably better than his WR clips. LSU coaches tried to talk to him about playing defense and he flat refused.

A lot of people said he’d be a beast DE coming out of high school. What could have been...

Difference is you ain’t getting cut at LSU for not switching positions. He had time to try and prove himself.

DEs make way more money than WRs but I’m sure he knew that

Best of luck to him. Hope it works out

The top 3 DEs make over $5M more than the top 3 WR

Never understood why players would considered riding the pine or seeing limited playing time rather that switching to a position of need, and immediately playing time. Especially if you played the position before. Well, good luck to him. Trust the Coaches!

Lol, I said this a lot when he was in high school and a lot more when he was barely getting play time at WR at LSU. I saw a DE when I watched his high school tape. This is the same thing I thought about Godwin who played WR for UGA and Donovan Peoples Jones who played WR for Michigan. I saw DPJ as a safety, Godwin as a corner, and Sullivan as a DE. These guys lost out on millions because they refused to listen to coaches. Had Devonta Lee went straight to defense instead of insisting he play WR, he would already be starting at linebacker.

In most cases, probably. Except Les, Dak to TE. Set LSU back unfortunately.
