don't think being picked off by PP is a fair way to judge a QB's play. He's the best corner in the fricking nation.

Now a pick 6 isn't really a pick six if its picked by Patrick Peterson.

None of this matters. The negative people will spin it negative and say our offense sucks. We don't have a QB or an O-line. The positive people will say the defense looked great and they are supposed to be ahead at this point and time.

The bottom line is that in a scrimmage your team is in a no win situation because you are playing yourself. The most important thing is to get some live snaps on film and see how the new guys are doing with technique and reads and move one step closer to gelling as a team.

People saying the defense played great obviously forgot 2008 leading up to the season. All I heard was how great our defense was against our offense and that the defense should be ahead of the offense at this point. Turned out our defense was just horrible and our offense turned it over like crazy.

I see a half glass of water and think it's half full, you see a half glass of water and think "frick Les Miles is pathetic"

Until the green jerseys are off the qb's, I'm not gonna judge them. JJ is much better rolling out and can do some good things running the football. Lee typically looks decent in the scrimmages because he knows the lights aren't turned on.

Not saying its a kiss of death or anything, just that you can't take much from these scrimmages as you said. It's a crapshoot. What it does tell me is one side of the ball is likely way ahead of the other.

That could mean we have a great defense and mediocre/average offense. That's not the worst thing in the world.

The point was exactly the one you made. You can't take anything from it, just like the pick 6 Lee threw in the spring game.

Not that surprising to me. That defense is swiss cheese in the secondary. Not a flame just the truth.

I think Saban was beating up on his secondary today intentionally. they threw the ball about 75% of the time and did a lot of work in the red zone. I think he is putting this young secondary through a crash course on coverage.

The gumps have been complaining about their secondary for a while now. I didn't believe them but perhaps they do in fact have issues with pass defense.

Saban will get them up to speed. Unfortunately, they will have to go through trial by fire to get better.

A good buddy of mine was at the scrimmage. He texted me that Jefferson looked aweful. Threw a pick 6 to Peterson. Said the only thing worse than qb play was the o-line.

Take it for what it's worth

I hope you're kidding or that your buddy is wrong.

Otherwise...shitfrickdamncomethefrickonman.

Well, at least "we talkin bout practice".

When did this turn into the bama scrimmage board. People seem more concerned about the Gumps than the Tigers. WTF

Well, it seems we still have QB issues and OL issues

No real surprise really..How much can it improve since the spring anyways? It was awful then

Our D will be very good IMHO

I think our running game will be a little better.

Can the passing get any worse? It should improve
