Sorta interesting to see how Lee's career went when many fans were openly hoping he would transfer after '08 and '09.

Now many fans respect the hell out of him for sticking it out.

Dealing with the bs he did had to be extremely difficult and maybe some of the fans who were the hardest on him finally saw the light this year and are happy is finished as a Tiger.

A few on here aren't though.

Just read that article before I came over here. Indeed, Lee has chosen to take the high road, and I commend him for that.

Did he think that moment was coming? With a burst of energy he says, "I did! I really did. I thought I might get an opportunity or a chance, but obviously that didn't happen."

The moveon.org positigers don't want to talk about it, but Les lied to Lee, he lied to the team, and he lied to the entire LSU football nation. Lee was in the game plan, was told he would play, and Miles decided to do exactly the opposite of what he should do and what he said. This was not about game strategy. This was not about JJ's legs giving the team a better chance even in the 4th quarter. This was about Miles putting his hard-headedness ahead of everyone for the sake of his irrational belief of JJ even after 3 quarters of putrid play.

more than any other player I have ever seen take the field...the booing was so loud that I had to leave the stadium to keep from getting in a fight with the "fans" around me....

I am very glad that he ended up his career on the other side of the fence....turns out, he is one tiger I will never forget....

Class act who should have been given the chance to redeem himself.

He'll always wonder for the rest of his life now

Props to him.
Lee goes out on top. When he gave way to Jefferson he was undefeated as a starter for 2011. That's how he'll be remembered.
JJ, on the other hand, will be remembered for being given the reins of a thoroughbred and sadly finishing second.
Miles will be second guessed but blissfully happy without regard for treating Lee like shite.

Especially since Miles doesnt have enough character to offer some solace, wish him well, congratulate him on his performance in Arizona, etc. As I read it, Lee hasnt heard from him since the BCS game

Sad the only person he spoke to about the hurt and confusion was his dad, in the hotel room after the game. No contact with Miles was mentioned since then

I didn't see that anywhere in there. But anyway, I responded to this same comment in your anchored thread.

But im not sure if you follow recruiting. But miles has basically been on the road for the last 8 out of 11 days since the game. He came back for the press conference. Then flew out to Texas. He mentioned lee in his press conference about having a great game and playing well at the all star game.

I know the fans want to create some illusion that miles hates lee and it is personal. But that really is far fetched and silly.

He might not have talked to anyone about the bcs game. But I didn't get anything concrete out of that interview that miles didn't congratulate him about his all star game.

For the record, I never booed Lee. I understood the circumstances and the poor play calling when he was making mistakes. I am glad that he went out on top. And I will always question Les Miles as a man, for mistreating Jarrett and few others this year. I have said it before and I won't stutter, I can't stand a liar. And Les is a liar.

True, but then that Miles a freaking idiot for how he chose using the QB's.

The two stances(hate or strategy) are not flattering to Miles regardless.

Must have misplaced it while doing one-on-ones with EVERY returning player.

I'm not disagreeing with you that he made the wrong decision. Lee definitely should have played in the bcs game. No doubt.
I don't think it's flattering to miles either. But the blatant hate and vitriol being spewed is a little much. That is my point.

I think people should celebrate lee for being a class act and a great tiger. He fought hard to get better through his whole lsu career. I am proud of him.

I wish nothing but the best for him. But I don't see how totally bashing and down playing a great season that the team and coaches had is being productive moving forward.

I dont know, its just something that sticks in my craw. Something I read somewhere. Something about reaping what one sows
