As has been discussed ad nauseum since the Ensminger news, if LSU football tanks next season and Ogre is sent packing, most on here believe that it is highly likely that Alleva will not survive the fallout. If so, do y’all think that LSU will make a run at A&M AD Scott Woodward? Several Aggies I know are fearful of losing him to us.

We will not have to make a run at him. He will run toward Baton Rouge. Quickly. Whenever Alleva leaves and for whatever reason. He may actually also bring a certain head football coach with him. Has anyone ever checked what Jimbo buyout in his contract is if he leaves ?

I think the question is can we pry him away from A&M?

Yep think of his decision stay at A&M where it seems he has free reign to run his athletic dept. Or come to LSU where the school president and state govt wants to control the athletic dept

Agree.. I don’t see him leaving with the recourses he has at his disposal. Lsu can’t win a bidding war ifA&M is all in.

Sure we can. People always overestimate the amount of money a school can spend and underestimate the amount a school will pay. Sure tam can throw billions around but are they truly gonna go tremendously above market value? Doubt it. Fishers contract was a deal or no deal situation(same option we had and chose no deal) and they couldn't let him pass because they'd be eaten alive by the fanbase, and money men. We couldve paid it but it wasn't worth it in our eyes. Correctly IMO. The didn't outbid us for Aranda when they could've. What does that say? It says they aren't working with a blind checkbook. Market value is the key and if we are willing to be in the ball park of that we can win by bidding war.

I'll take Woodward in a heartbeat.......and frick Jimbo. He had his chance, Alleva screwed up in 2015 and Jimbo played LSU in 2016 to get a raise. Find an up and coming coach to instill life into the Tigers football program. Les was getting stale and Orgeron is a cancer, just hope the new AD changes things.
