i don't know, but neither do you most likely.

There have been several instances of people stealing money from the university and not being caught for years. I'd say we know pretty definitively that they aren't spending money efficiently.

the only thing you guys know about LSU admin is that Alexander is from California and doesn't like Will Wade SO HE'S A BAD MAN.

I'm not sure what this nonsense is, but people have wanted King gone long before Will Wade was even here.

They will still donate and he even said so. But the university has essentially been budgeting for it annually which is wrong.

I wonder why?

Can’t afford to keep a ton of the staff, fix dorms, the library, but fear not! There is an LSU shaped Lazy River and 55 inch plasma screen plastered throughout campus.

Perfect timing to me. They cried wolf too early and too loud.

The athletic department supporting the university is no doubt a great thing. I think it would be better though to support specific projects though rather than just handing over a check that can be used for anything. If this is the case I'm 100% behind the AD.

Things like "LSU AD helps fund new Library/Art Building/Biology Lab" or "LSU AD donates to Scholarship Fund" would be great PR and actual tangible things could be pointed to when people ask how does athletics support the school.

Bit of a teabag on F. King.

Maybe he can jerk a knot in those liberal, big mouthed professors.

Funniest part of this thread is, you thought the fan base here would back you and the opposite happened

Slowly but surely, LSU becomes a giant sports academy with less emphasis on that pesky educational requirement.

Wrong. I want a quality school.

I think you’re dumb and gay for expecting the very people that are responsible for the decline to now suddenly also be responsible for the rebirth.

I would hope that this is where it ends up. Fix everything it he Athletic department that may need fixing (I am looking at you Maravich), then donate to the university for projects.

Louisiana needs a new state constitution. F King is also a shitty fund raiser.

“I think that’s the wrong question,” he said when asked about that possibility. “I think the right question is ‘What are our current donors at TAF doing for the university?’ And I have a feeling that… in both places I’ve been (Texas A&M and Washington), on average they give 1.5 times more to the academic side. I’m sure that’s the case here.
