There has been something missing with our defense since late last season.

Feels like he's getting emotional about it which is great. But fundamentals trump emotion over the course if the season which is where the focus really needs to be. I think chief will get us there eventually.

It’s time for you to remember your place. You play defense for LSU, the defense of Patrick Peterson, Cory Webster and LaRon Landry, of Tommy Casanova, Kevin Minter and Roy “Moonie” Winston.

It’s time to man up. No better time than against Mississippi State, a team you beat every year like it’s your birthright. Well, that team is good enough to beat you this Saturday if you don’t play better than you did last Saturday.

Might lose his LSU beat?
CLM does wield some clout in this BR.

More worried about losing access to Chavis

Miles has zero authority in who covers his team for the local paper.

Why the H couldn't the Offense be called out like this in the media the past couple of years? The Defense has been playing at a championship level for years while Miles was allowed to screw around with the Offense without being called out like this.

We lose 8 starters on Defense and struggle in a big game and everyone wants to string Chavis up and take shots at all the Defensive players. Sorry but the Defense has carried this program for years.

The Offensive performance this season only confirms what many of us have known for years. Miles allowed talent to rot on the Offensive side of the ball while the Defense played lights out year after year. Every offseason Miles proclaimed that the Offense had been fixed (like it was a lamp that was broke) and we would definitely get Russell Shephard more involved THIS year.

Someone should be calling out Miles because it is painfully obvious that the only thing missing on Offense has been coaching. And his involvement, didn't help. If anything, he made it worse.

It's nice to see the Offense carry the load for a change. That is what they should do when loaded with talent.

Yea, we lost plenty of starters, so the younger guys need to learn quick and the upper-classmen need to play like it and be leaders.

Does the Defense need to step up? Of course.
Does Chavis need to do a better job? Without question.
Have they earned the right to have the Offense carry the load a few games? Absolutely.
