The hitting approach is wrong. Only Jones has consistent home run power, but they keep swinging for the fences.
Your correct. But what's weird is a month ago the team was raking with lots of ground balls, slappers, and basehits.
Now it looks like all they do is swing for the fence. Why did the approach change? How many damn fly balls did LSU hit this weekend?

It was at this occurrence in the game when i realized that Jay deserved to lose this game and the series because of that incredibly stupid decision. You’d think he’d learn by now but he just keeps getting burnt by the analytics game.

LSU might not record a single hit against Arkansas #1 or #2 starter. They are both legit. Gonna take a miracle for LSU to win either of those games the way they are hitting.

True. LSU only swung the bats well in one game against Oklahoma. It just happened to be the same weekend that the Tigers used just five pitchers and didn't give up a single earned run.
You can't count on getting a pitching performance like that again. Though the pitching has been very good lately, it shouldn't have to be perfect to win.

He was top 5 in BA in SEC play less than two weeks ago. Yes, his bat has gotten cold. But he's earned his spot as an everyday player.
He currently has the highest BA and 2nd highest OBP on the team in SEC play, among players with more than 20 ABs.
Arguing to sit the guy with the highest average in SEC play is crazy talk. If anything it’s time to move him from the 9 hole.

2 today came off amateur hour errors from a&m that we would have been hosed
That’s college baseball. Three of A&Ms yesterday came off of fly balls that were mishandled.

Early in the year this team knew who they were. They knew they weren’t a huge power team. They hit tons of line drives and worked the gaps and the foul lines. It seems they have lost their identity late in the year.
