Only way playing defense would really boost his stock enough to come back would be if he played catcher, which was the position he came in at. His value is in his bat and his size/athleticism. Sticking him at first base or playing an average outfield won’t shoot him up on draftboards.

He would be wrong on that. Frey doesn't need to play a position every day.
He will be put in the outfield in the minors and run like a deer

I don’t have a strong opinion, not having much knowledge of that. I’m just telling you what Ben McDonald said, and BTW, he said that CJJ told him that. He also said Stanfield has a good chance at coming back. Again don’t shoot me; I’m just telling you what he said this morning.
