In MLB, draft position doesn't always translate to $$$. If he's not getting the kind of offer that he's looking for, he can always decide to come back.

Absent the first-hand info that others here apparently have, I would say that he's likely gone, but we won't know that for sure until there's a deal or August 17 hits.
