LSU offensive line coach Greg Studwara
With all due respect to Stud, strange choice by CUM imo.
Not really, they have history together. Stud was on his staff at Bowling Green.
Prior to his arrival at LSU, Stud was a spread guy. I'm pleasantly surprised he, Krag and Miles have gelled so well together.

I think it's ridiculous that they want to assemble what looks like an ESPN coaching staff
. though, I imagine there could be some recruiting pull or that ESPN will suck OSU off more than usual.
However, it's not necessarily a bad move for Herbie. He may take a pay cut, but he's already made lots of money. Now has a chance to coach at his alma mater, with the possibility of promotion in years. He can always return to being an analyst when all said and done (Corso, Holtz, etc.).

Clearly Desmond Howard is his first choice WR coach.

And I'm sure Herbie would fall head-over-heels to increase his pay from $100k to probably $250k+ with a shot at moving to OC in the future and a $500k+ salary.
A shot at moving to 500k +? He's already way over that broseph. The ONLY reason he was would do this is because it's his alma mater.

quote:Our O-line hasnt been what you'd call stellar since he's been here. This year is great but how much of that is him or Krags, etc. My point was that CUM's wish list was Herbstreit, Spielman, etc (all very high profile names). Then you have Stud, who I seriously doubt anyone outside of LSU fans even know who he is (or was until this year since he's been on tv some). Im not saying he's not capable but it doesnt fit with the glamour names.

Capiche?

Espn right now is still saying Meyer is denying the OSU rumors of him coaching there.

Yes, and I own a snowball stand at which I intend to hire Barak Obama.

Has Stud even coached in a spread offense before?
Posted on 11/23/11 at 3:20 pm to monroesportsguy
I heard Charles Hanigriff speak to bill king on this subject yesterday. He said he seriously doubts coach stud will make a lateral move. Stud enjoys working with CLM and loves LSU. He has a daughter going into her Sr. Year of high school and one just starting high school.

I hope they get Robert Smith to coach the running backs. Can you imagine the meetings with him and herbie.
