Welcome to the LSU fanbase.
It is what it is and 90% of the time, it's a damn strong fanbase.
I think anyone seeing our rantings here as speaking for more then a small, vocal minority of the LSU fanbase is mistaken.

If Lee did not bail our arse out against TN (of all teams) and UF, we are 8 -4.
JJ sucked last year and he sucked the year before. One decent bowl game as a freshman got him an entire year as a So just like one decent Cotton bowl game is getting his a guaranteed starting position right now.
I find it hard to believe that his "light" bulb is suddenly turning on after 3 + seasons of opportunities. We are hearing the same BS that we heard last year in the spring. From what I saw close up at the last spring game, JJ is a deer in the headlights and had no idea what is going on.
Let's all blame it on Crowton and hope our new OC can get JJ's brain matter to suddenly work. If he can't, we are spending another year looking from the outside at Atlanta.

you need to start a "Lee bailed us out" thread so you don't have to keep reposting it all over the place.

I think that this is actually justified. The entirety of last year our QB's were hesitant. Hesitancy throws off timing which kills a passing game. When JJ and JL weren't hesitant they played pretty well (even if it was just a game here and a game there). Krags is good at training up QBs, and he's trying to simplify the decision making processes for the QB's. Hopefully this will get rid of the hesitancy.
While Mett may have the best passing skills, he's the least familiar with the offense and has virtually no game time experience (against SEC caliber competition). In addition, Les knows Mett is his man in 2012, and he's not going to risk getting another QB with confidence issues by throwing him in too early. He'll probably get mop up duty for the first half of the year, but he'd have to just tear it up to have a shot at starting by mid season. I think the main focus with Mett will be prepping him for 2012.
I think if Les can keep JJ's confidence from fading, he would give more PT to JL this year. I think JJ will improve and be an average passer that does a lot of damage running the ball. JJ plays it safe and doesn't take many risks. This tends to keep you in ball games, and that's how Les likes it. With the rest of our team, that might be enough to take it all. JL is something of a wildcard. He could turn out to be a quality QB, or he might have a relapse of confidence issues and disappear entirely. I expect that JL will only get a series or two during the Oregon game as they try to get his confidence up with minimal risk. Without an utter collapse from JJ or JL, I doubt Mett gets too much PT.
