Many successful leaders are jerks on a personal level. Steve Jobs was a jerk, hell, even Bill Gates, who looks like a sweet little professor, was notorious for his screaming and berating underlings. Many great military leaders are hard-asses, as well as many CEOs. But people line up to work for them, because they are extremely successful.

Oh, and coaches too.

I wonder what the "system philosophy" differences were. Was Sark going to change the offense from last season? They had a true freshman take their team to the national championship. Regardless of how inept Hurts is throwing the ball, what really is there to philosophically disagree on?

The "philosophical differences" excuse is pure BS. Anyone who has ever known an alcoholic should know they all have control problems. Here is Sark, a proven OC with head coaching experience, an alcoholic control freak, getting dictated to by Saban.
