Good points. I don't keep my head in the progress of recruits. I've always asked what's the difference in the #1 WR and number 15? A lot is strictly opinion and a lot based on high light reels. The "gurus" aren't so smart all the time.
MY bottom line is if they want to be at LSU and have their heart in it and head on straight the TIgers will be fine. Another joke is I noticed a player that committed to Georgia was just elevated to a 5 star just last week . Why now? How? Did he improve over Thanksgiving break. Hell, no. The service elevated him because he signed with Georgia and that "guru" wants to look good. So much crap
involved - anyone with any football sense at all can spot a 5 star in a HS football game. Man among boys and even then it is heart, soul and, possibly, level of competition.
The only REAL barometer of a class' ranking is 3 years away from a signing date and then it is too late. People worry too much about Alabama. IF they sign one from LA someone will get a good player they passed on.
I don't let the notions of a 17-18 year old dictate the way I feel. Some change their minds several times and there are MANY influences out there.

Lighten up, Francis.

Sounds like a lot of excuses for not getting the job done, but each to our own.
