No, passing yards don't win games. Points do.
Perhaps not allowing historic yardage would keep points off the board, but that might just be crazy me talking.

Notre Dame? Are you saying Les never lost games at the end to ranked teams?
No, I'm saying O lost that game in ball-less fashion. It was an embarrassing loss to top off the two horrendous losses earlier in the year. Les NEVER lost games like that in a 3 game stretch. Go ahead and try to find them.

btw. Les' entire career was clouded by embarrassing and puzzling losses.
But not as embarrassing as the State and Troy 2017. losses.

He played down to his opponents' level more than any coach we've ever had.
Yet still has a better win percentage at LSU compared to O while doing it in the golden age of the SEC.
ETA: The bottom line is you can't try to paint Les as some buffoon and act as if O is Saban relative to him because of one outlier year. That doesn't pass the smell test

Don’t engage in this bullshite. You’re better than that. Clearly, you’re no fan of Miles or at least the last part of his tenure. That’s cool. Wanna know what’s cooler? Not getting sucked into this Miles vs. Orgeron comparison. You can actually like and appreciate both. I do.

Les was blown out by Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss in consecutive weeks in 2015

Show me where I've done that. I'll wait

The fact that you try to sell that as equally embarrassing as losing at home to Troy and State tells me you have no interest in honest discussion.

You asked when Les had embarrassments in consecutive 3 game stretches. I gave you an example. Yes, losing to three teams by way of blowout in consecutive weeks is every bit as embarrassing as losing to a top 15 team in a bowl game by 3. JFC

No, I asked for an equal.

I love that you are ignoring the State and Troy losses, which are the games I'm asking you about.

They happened in seasons three years apart. Do I need to list all of Les Miles' WTF games for you over 11 years? There's plenty to choose from.

No, I asked for an equal.

Troy in 2017 and State in 2020 didn't happen three years apart? Do you pay attention to what you post?
I'll help you out

Wow. Thanks for that.
Thanks for what? Pointing out that you're asking me first to show me a three game stretch that was embarrassing for Les Miles, and then when I give you one, you ask me why I'm ignoring a game in 2017 and one in 2020 that happened 3 years apart.
Are you drunk?

You can't actually be this stupid, right? Surely you've googled 2017 by now, right?

We lost to State in 2017 as well as 2020 but I do agree with you that the 3 game stretch you mentioned is worse.

How? How is losing to the #1 team and a highly ranked Ole Miss team worse than losing to Troy for homecoming and getting bent over a barrel by a State team better?
Sure, zero effort in the Arkansas game was shite coaching. But the two 2017 losses were soooo much worse.

Well, you're all over the place bud. You've been talking about the 2020 loss to State being the worst loss in LSU history this entire thread and now I'm supposed to assume you're now going back to the 2017 State game? Ok, 2017 State happened 09/16, Troy happened 09/30, and Notre Dame happene 01/01. So you want me to find a season where Les had 3 embarassing losses some time in the season. Well, I've already given you one with three straight and we've already talked about his 2008 season. He got fired to stop his embarrassing 2016 season but was on a roll. So I'll give you another in his 2014 season, he got embarrassed at home by State, got blown out by 8-5 Auburn, got shutout by a bad Arkansas team, and blew his bowl game against a very average Notre Dame team.

highly ranked Ole Miss team
You mean a badly overrated Ole Miss team. They lost to the fricking mighty Memphis Tigers and a god awful Arkansas team that year. But please use their final ranking as justification without looking at their actual schedule.
Btw in 2017 State went 9-4 and Troy went 11-2. Sooo.
