He also didn’t take over a team that won a national title 3 yrs earlier. Yes Ed ruined the roster and that’s not on CBK, but you can understand fans’ frustrations. They need a place to put that blame and putting it on a blonde-fricking, millionaire ex-coach doesn’t quite do it.
LSU needed a win last night. And fans sure as hell fricking deserved one.
So LSU deserves all the criticism for that shite show last night, and at 100 million dollars CBK deserves to be the fall guy.

I remember when people used to reference Saban’s first year and the ULM game during the Ed O years. I was hoping that would be a thing of the past.

Anyone who is already saying Kelly is a bad hire is just as dumb as those saying "Adults are running the program for the first time in twenty years". Both are ill-informed knee jerk reactions to opposite extremes. The two "non-adults" won national titles, and Kelly has coached the team for all of 60 minutes.
However, neither of these have anything to do with recognizing that extremely awful coaching/preparation in special teams along with a slow to adjust offensive game plan likely cost us a win against an inferior team last night. Criticism of Kelly on that front is certainly warranted.

Kirby Smart also sucked his first year, FWIW. We almost lost to Nicholls St. and did lose to Vandy and Tech. It was damn ugly at times. Year 2 is where you need to see the leap.
