Chill out, PJ. We know you become enraged when you don't sense that someone is suggesting Saban is the greatest coach to ever live. But, it'll be okay.

Ive never said this...he's one of the greatest coaches in LSU history. Im just sick of people talking like the guy walked on water. He made mistakes and pissed off fans just like every coach.

So Miles gets ZERO credit for what he's done at LSU?????????

Talk about butt hurt, he left for a very acceptable reason to go and try out the NFL. When he decided that it wasn't for him he went to the best opportunity given to him.
Take off your purple and gold blinders for just a few minutes. It is rather pathetic

The bottomline is now he's working against us. It's nothing personal but he needs to be treated just like any other Bama coach would be.

I agree but these people acting like he owed LSU some kind of loyalty is just nuts. It is just a job to him, he gets paid to win games, and he is good at what he does.

He went to the NFL because he felt he had reached the pinnacle of college football. He wanted to try his hand at more of a challenge. He realize that he did not like dealing with grown adults, they did not respond to him the way college kids did. He then left and went to the best opportunity in college football and a school willing to pay him more than others.

His record speaks for itself. However as a passinate LSU fan I don't like what I have seen the last two years. I didn't like how the season went in 2004 when Saban was still here. What Saban did at LSU was bring the program to heights it hadn't seen in almost 50 years. I dont think ANYONE can say he underachieved at LSU!!!!!

That may be true but don't act like the past 2 years are why you're not a Miles fan. You weren't in 2007, 2006, or 2005.

That may be true but you were still a bonafide, dyed-in-the-wool Saban fan. You've always hoped Les got fired or left for Michigan. You were terrified of Saban leaving for the NFL.

And you've been despressed ever since.

It'll be okay, Parnell Jerome.

It's called loyalty which is too much little of theses days. I apologize if I am wrong I don't think you are an LSU fan. Why don't you go share your opinions or facts hahaha on the Bama board you would be a hit !

So do you believe Les is a loyal man?
Do you think those at Oklahoma State see him as a loyal man.

Thanks Rocket at least you understand what I'm trying and have been trying to get across to this rant...praising Saban only hurts LSU the very school people on here claim to be a fan of. I get called names for defending LSU on the LSU board go figure. Do you think Saban says anything good about LSU to a recruit or at private parties in Bama land ? All that nice stuff he said on TV were lies he didn't mean a word of it. Ask the Miami Dolphins what they think of his word.

I am enjoying how you claim any coach is loyal.
Like I said, I am sure Oklahoma State fans thought Les was loyal

Basically you are hurt because Saban took a job in SEC and turned them into a winner and you are jealous.

Had he gone to Mississippi State and failed you would not be butt hurt. Yet because he went to a school giving him the highest salary and turned them into a winner he is not loyal.

It is a BUSINESS, you would not stay at your current job if a better company came and offered you a job with increased salary and better benefits.

quit paising the Bama coach

How is it hurting, the entire nation knows Saban is one of the top coaches in college football.
Every recruit knows who Saban is and what he has accomplished, his accomplishments speak for themselves.

quote:

trashing LSU to recruits he is recruiting

So you do not think Les is trashing other schools to get recruits? I hate to tell you it works both ways. Just because one is recruiting for the school root for and one against does not make either way right.

quote:

The Saban praise by LSU fans 6 years later is beyond me.

Considering what the man did for the school it is ok. The guy gave LSU it's first championship since 58. The guy helped turn LSU into a household name again. The guy made LSU attractive to recruits again something that had been lacking.
To totally ignore what he accomplished while at LSU is well in my opinion idiotic. He deserves the praise for what he did during his tenure at LSU.

I would say he deserves recognition for what he did...he was hired to do a job, did it well and was paid well to do it. And I'm appreciative for his efforts. But his annual flirtations with the NFL were a distraction to the program, he did a poor job of recruiting o-linemen his last few years and basically coasted through 2004, appearing not to give much of a shite. I'm glad he was here, but I'm an LSU fan, so he's ancient history now...
