Because they have no passing game. Underwood brings them to 10 wins easy next year while laughing all the way to the bank.

That's kind of their offensive system...

I agree. But at least McCarthy was serviceable. This year the passing game is horrible. Underwood would be the instant number 1 by going to Michigan. Not so much here.

So why didn't he just commit there originally then?

You do realize that the trends are opposite as Saban was trending up year three and Kelly appears to wading in neck high water right now.

You remember why Harvey Williams chose to come to LSU instead of A&M??? Could be the same type deal. Except back then$10 million wasn’t on the table.

That entire offense is a shitshow & that program is on gradual decline now that Harbaugh is gone.

Yep. Totally comparable situations. Great example.

Not true at all, Saban actually took a step back in year 3, record wise.

2000: 8-4
2001: 10-3
2002: 8-5

Saban's Year 3 Losses:

28-6 at #16 Virginia Tech
31-7 at unranked Auburn
31-0 in Baton Rouge to #10 Bama
21-20 at unranked Arkansas
35-20 in the Cotton Bowl vs #9 Texas

This place would've melted down so hard

The last 4 losses came after the team lost Mauck to injury. Funny how you left that part out…..

The dude was completing less than 50% of his passes before the injury, meh.

Injuries happen to everyone.

Got your arse kicked at HOME by first year Kalen Devore? Cause you're not physical enough.

Now Devore will come into Tiger Stadium and kick out arse year in and year out just like Saban, Shula, Bryant, and Stallings. Same old f'ing story.
Just a different Coach.

But you never knew which games Saban, Les Miles, Coach O were going to lose. They always gave you a fighting chance. Even the games they were over matched in.

This coach, guess what games he’s going to win for the past 3 yrs. Notre Dame had no drop off when he left. They still haven’t dropped off.

Les Miles was a hard head yes, but you better believe it, his players were going to play and play hard!
