Hmm, so are you suggesting that he might achieve the pinnacle of greatness and win a NC there? Man, I sure wish we had a coach currently that is capable of that. You're so right.

As far as a gameday coach, I think Saban is much better than Les Miles

Based on what exactly? Saban has won 10 games in a season ONCE in his career, and his teams consistently play well below their talent level (ULM, UAB, U of Houston last year just to name a few)

btw, with Saban on the sidelines, we lose by 2+ TDs to Florida last year

Yes, as evidenced by his losses to UAB, ULM, the Iowa loss caused by the defense.... the BAMA blowout in 2002...... the Bluegrass miracle that saved his arse that day, among others. But there will always be excuses for Saban from his NSNS crew.....excuses that Les Miles would never get. When Saban won or wins it's "because he's a great coach" no matter the score. When Miles wins a close game it was because "he was lucky."
Miles has won more with Saban's so called players than Saban did. The proofs there, some people are just too ignorant to admit it. frick Saban.

I honestly thing that Les Miles is a average below average coach who just got lucky and fell into a good situation at LSU. IMO Saban is alot better of a coach.

I don't know what Les Miles has done to deserve this reputation, but the facts speak for themselves. If he's not a sound coach tactically, he obviously knows how to surround himself with terrific coordinators.

Ballsy bet, because he'd be the first coach in Div. 1A history to pull that off.

but the reason i dislike him now, is that he went to BAMA. and the way he lied about leaving the dolphins was very wrong.

He pretty much did the same thing whenh leaving LSU

we need to simplify this equation:
saban- brought lsu into a dominate era from something much less than. if he does that at bama, all the proof you need.
miles- has maintained dominance at lsu. if he continues to do that, all the proof you need.

basically, if we win championships i'm a happy tiger fan. the coach can do whatever he wants, make any playcalls he wants, if we win i don't care. we need to stop trying to project everything, just root like hell and enjoy the show

Saban may be a (slightly) better coach when it comes to x's and o's, however, that is not all it takes to win. IMO Miles has a better relationship with his assistants and with the players and is mush more well liked. Given only the slight advantage to Saban in x's and o's I think Miles is the better OVERALL coach....all things considered.
